Re: 1985

This is the very same Washer and Matched Electric Dryer in Almond Color that I bought for my Parent's. It was the "Demo" Model and I knew one of the Salesmen at the local Sears Store. I mentioned to him, when the new Model's came out, could I buy these for my Parent's and he told me that he would even work it out on his Discount, so I paid about $850 plus Tax for both. They are still in my posession {God Rest Mom and Dad} and I do need to replace all of the Tub Seals and the Gasket's in the Side-Check Valve and the Tub Screws. I might have to replace the Belt as well, on both the Washer and Dryer, because they've been sitting for quite a long time, although they've been in a pretty Climatic Controlled area, but I know it wouldn't hurt or really cost much to get new Belts.

I've also got the 1982 Lady-K Electronic Touch Control Matched Washer and Electric Dryer, in the Coffee Color, they were bought by me new for myself. The first Washer that I actually bought had the "what I call the stupid" Detergent Dispenser that sat on a Wedge inside on the Left Side of the Washer opening. It was a Hinged-Triangled Box that you put the Detergent in and there was a Solenoid Activated Pin that would pop out of a hole to open the Box to dispense the Detergent, when the Fill completed and the Wash started. They replaced that Washer with the actual Triple Dispenser idea not long after I had bought that Washer, so I bought the Triple Dispenser Washer and I gave the First Washer with the Box Dispenser to a real good Friend, along with an Almond 1982 Kelvinator Electric Dryer, that I had bought mostly to just check out, but when he needed a Washer and Dryer and didn't have any money or a Job at the time, I used my generousity and gave him the Washer and Dryer for Free.

I can't wait to get all of these Washers and Dryers operating again and to Repair the rest of my Collection, besides still having some that are available to anyone who wants them, as long as whomever wants them, if you can pay for the Shipping, that is all that I'm asking for them, but it has to be paid up front, instead of reimbursement.

Peace and Happiness, Steve

There is also a matching Lady K dryer listed, oops, I don't have the link. If they were local, they would be mine.
