This is the other washer I saved from destruction at the recycler a while back. Although it works (the motor and pump), someone swiped the belt!
I have no model number to go by, as that tag was removed by Lowe's. My neighbor has (what looks like) the exact model as mine, and I used that model number to order the belt. It crossed to a GE WH08X10003, well.. no go on that! As you can see by the pic, it is too small, no way it will go on the pulley.
Sooo, I then tried a Frigidaire model number from a similar unit on Ebay, that part number was 1340510009. Nope on that too! As a matter of fact, even though the part numbers on the Ge and Frigidaire bags were not the same, the belts themselves had identical numbers.
So, here I am, out 60 bucks in belts and still nowhere!
The washer was made in October 2003, were there two different belt sizes for this machine? Help! Looks like I am stuck good on this one..

I beleive there is only one belt for these machines. It's best to start the belt on the motor pulley, then thread it around the tub pulley while turning the pulley . Beleive it or not, it will stretch quite a bit, just takes patience. Hope this helps!

Wow! It worked! Thanks Coldspot66! Originally, I thought I might damage something trying to get that belt on, but you were exactly right when you said it would stretch quite a bit!
Now the GE is back to washing clothes! It will need a tub bearing soon though, but isn't that loud yet.
