Does anyone here have one of these New Kenmore Front Loader HE4t's? We have had ours since they first came out. We love it however, it takes soooooooooooooooo long. It cannot decide when it is time to get on with the spinning. It has to decide when all criteria is met then it may be ok to start slow to get to 1200rpm. Once it reaches it's max speed, it will only be for a min or 2. I feel cheated! Any one else have the same issue? I should take it apart and find the sensors and pull them out!! I spoke with the usless Sears salesman about it, he was shocked. Imagine that.

I have and HE3, and when I first got mine, a little over a year ago, I had the same problem. I found that when I washed colored clothes, it was best to leave the jeans out and do the seperate cause I was getting the smae thing. The same was happening when I washed towels. Too many towels will also cause this problem. If you are going by what the sales person told you or what you have seen on TV such as, 16 pairs of jeans, or 22 bath towels, remember that for the jeans, it's 16, varying sizes, meaning from a small childs all the way to adult. As for towels they are using 24x30 bath towels. Mine for example are all 30x54's so about 8 with hand towels and some wash clothes is a really full load.

This is one of the reasons why I will always use TL machines and not switch to residential FLs...

Long cycle times are one of my BIGGEST pet peeves. Absolutely can't stand it.

Westytoploader:

My cycle times are a little longer than that of the toploader that I use to have, but I have to say that when My washer finishes it washer cycle, the dryer finishes it's dry cycle with in a minute of the washer. If I wash a load of towels first and put them in the dryer, then wash a load of sheets, they dryer is still running and has about 20 mins to go by the time the washer is done. Not much different in using a toploader washer with matching dryer

I noticed the same thing with Peteski's LG. It seems there is a sensor in the sump area and everytime the machine revs up and the sump starts to fill, it slows back down.

Not so with the Neptune! It has a timed drain and the only thing that will cause it to slow down is if the tub is out of balance. That rarely happens because I load it full.

Also have to admit it has the quietest drain pump of any of front loaders or toploaders (GE).

Hi Steve

Do you mean the GE has the quietest pump or the Neptune has the quietest pump??
MY Neptune spins quickly with a full load, from what I've read here and on the web I would not like the HE3t. I'd scream waiting a hour to hit spindry! Especially in the light of owning 5 unimatics! BAM 1140 in seconds! The wash is BOOM BOOM DONE!
