Found these in my morning perusal of Craigslist for maytag stuff:

Not sure just how "vintage" they are, probably early-mid 80s. Nice and cheap, too...

A stack of those dryers would be fun...if they could be converted to propane, that is.

The place I buy from has that exact washer he's tried to sell me. On his, someone took a crowbar to the coin box.....

Will those dryer doors work on a Big Load dryer? Hum, now that would be cool.

Can these be operated like a regular washer

Somewhere there has to be a timer u can turn to start the machines so u won`t need to use quarters

Yes, they can. Block inserts can be used to bypass the coin mechanism, or you could just re-use the quarters by simply leaving the coin box unlocked our out, which is how Ross's coin-op Laundromat works. No manual advancement of the timer though.

There were identical machines to these at a local laundromat here, up until recently, when they were replaced with Orbitals. I used them a couple of times, and they were indeed fun. I put up a video of one of those commercial 'Tags on YouTube.

Those doors would work on a "Big Load" dryer - that would be very cool. Given the space, it would be awesome to have a set of dryers for regular use - then you could keep up with the washers.
