Well, today was my journey of picking up my FIRST 1947 Bendix parts and pieces.

For over a year I placed an ad in the local paper and website for an used Bendix (no one responed until month ago). I received a call from someone who had parts stored in their tool shed on a small Island near Victoria. Today I went there via ferry…wow he had a fantastic collection of many parts. Photos over the weekend...Here what he GAVE me!!

4-5 Timers
8 – floats switches
?? – quite a few timer motors
2 – mixing valves
2 – strainers
4 – inner drums
2 – outer drums
2 – complete exterior cabinet (2 - R & L sides, 2 - fronts, 2 -rears and 4 - tops)
2 – frames
5 – complete motor/trans/pumps/solenoid assemblies
2- dried out seals
2- doors/glass
1– handle
some loose wiring
1 - float assembly

The plan for me is to try to re-build one functional Bendix washing machines maybe two! What I am missing is the following:

Whole back bearing support module and seals,
I need new door seal.

Does anyone have a parts diagram (this way I will know for sure that I am not missing anything)…

Bob

Great find!

I don't have the bendix info myself, there have been a few pictures of the insides in the archives. I've seen the wiring diagram recently posted here. Let me know if I can be of assistance - I can snap a pic of my 47.

That would be great if you can snap a few pix of your Bendix. Back, front, side....anything will help. I managed to save the schematic from Robert (??) post. I am hoping someone out there has kicking aroung the back bearing and support module with pulley, seals, etc..

You could email the pix if you like?

Thank you!!

Bob

Bob great finds! I'm a bit confused, as to the machine you are restoring is the "Whole back bearing support module" missing, or is it in just too bad shape that it needs to be replaced.

I am missing the tub bearing cylinder end, water seals, bearings..not much good without the back cover on the drum! Does anyone have an extra cylinder cover kicking around?
