Does anyone have any information on how to determine what year a Kenmore machine was manufactured using the model number? I have the decoding chart for Whirlpool machines, but I now have an old Kenmore and I'm trying to determine its date of birth. LOL

Dennis, generally on the older Kenmores,

at least from the early 1950's to the early 1980's the model
# is preceeded with 110 xxxxxetc. I have heard here that the 110 means they were manufactured for Sears by Whirlpool. The
first 2 numbers after the 110 is either the year manufactured
or the year it was manufactured to be offered.

The first two numbers following the 110 would decode for you the year it was manufactured.

Example: If your model number reads 11058-----, it would mean the washer is from 1958.

I believe they continued this numbering method until the 1980s.

Good Luck,
James

Frontloadotomy

Oops, I didn't see your post. I was interrupted when I started to answer the question earlier. I'm not trying to be a copycat.

Have a good one,
James
