Anyone actually believe this came off "a almost new machine" with cosmetic damage? If so I have a whole shed full of almost new items I would love to sell you.

It very well could have done so

If you look real close there is no burned lint on it. and the tip is not black as they usually are. also the wires are not discolored from heat ...Is is quite possible it is as listed.

Hi

In my opinion, it could be a new part from an almost new dryer from 1960, which makes this part looks as old as the dryer.
