My Kitchen Aid T/L washer broke down(again) Friday night. I think it is the coupler that went. It has been replaced twice already in the last five years. The washer will fill and empty, but just makes a clicking noise when the motor tries to agitate or spin.

I think I hurt it's feelings though, as I just purchased a new Frigidaire Affinity earlier in the day. I got a great deal on it, paid what most stores sell 2140's for.

The KA is the TOL model for that year; the Superba. It has the larger dual action agitator that has been discussed in other threads. it has electomechanical pushbuttons for the water temps, variable water level and an adjustable end of cycle signal volume. It is the beige color or whatever it was called that year. Located in Central New York between Syracuse and Utica, come and pick it up, I already put it in my garage. I do not have a digital camera so I can't post any picks, Some rust areound the bleach dispensor and the bottom of the cabinet in back. If no one claims it it will go to the junk man.

Somebody in NY area should get this! It's a kewl machine, and a coupler is an easy fix (but two couplers in five years could indicate some other underlying problem).

Kitchenaid Washer Demo?

I wouldn't mind collecting a Kitchenaid washer demo from somewhere. *grins*--Laundry Shark
