I have Maytag A500S (sudsaver) washer still in use, however the spline has deteriorated over time and the agitator slips. I have spent many hours researching on the internet and calling part companies. I have repeatedly been told that the spline (0a4731) is not available. I can buy a generic agitator with a spline built in (part #22004217) but there are no guarantees that it will fit. Any suggestions on finding an original spline or would it be best to just order the whole agitator? Any part companies that you would recommend? I would love to keep this machine running.

I found a few parts places that still have them. The cheapest is $33.36. Email me if you're interested.
