I need to replace the belt for my Hoover washer, I know the tub belt needs to be replaced, as it feels like it could fall apart at any moment. Is there a belt for the extractor? It works well except that the pump doesn't work, so I have it draining in the bath tub.

I wash yarn and sweaters in it, as the extractor does a great job in getting out the water. My question, is where do I get these belts?

Linda,
I get so many hits for Hoover belts here in Germany I bet there is still some hope for you out there. What is the exact model number on your twinny? I can take a look at the online catalog with it and try to narrow things down. Then, with the exact specs you can see what is possible in the US.

The model no is T1001 Thank you very much. I take apart sweaters and reuse the yarn for charity projects and this machine is just perfect for cleaning the yarn.

Well, here - maybe - is a solution (see link).
Here's their fax number and email for enquiries:

Fax : 0870 444 9873
Email: support@spares2go.co.uk

I recall that several Hoovers used these parts... but I can't find a T1001 listed here in Europe. Not to worry, take a look at this link, see if you can't then cross link or hope one of the UK folks knows the exact answer.
Try a separate post with "question for UK members" in it. Lots of UK experts here pretty much stick to stuff from the islands.
Good luck...and if you have any other info, post it. I like these machines!

Hullo,

All the belts are still available in the UK - you need the kind that fits the European 3314l/T5002/T5024. espares.co.uk and sparecentre.com both still supply them.

If you tip the machine forwards, you should see a belt that runs from the spin side to a pulley in the back middle of the machine. If it's missing, that's why your machine won't pump! Pumps do wear out quite quickly on Hoover TTs though, and if you're happy just to let it drain manually, this could be easier than trying to fix it if it's faulty.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Best forum that I've ever asked a question and the fastest answer too.

I'll be back when I find all the parts to my portable mangle. I think I'll need help putting it back together.

I'm just down state from you in the city! Have a huge box of Hoover spares and just may have a belt. Drop me an email with your machine's model number and so forth and will dig into the stash and see what I can do.
