There is an Admiral portable washer at the thrift store. It sure looks like a Whirpool/Kenmore portable. I would say it's from the 80's. It's almond, and has a harvest gold agitator that has 3 fins that seem to flex (not attached to the bottom of agitator).

Is this an Admiral? Is $40 bucks resonable? I read here that there are alot of fans of belt drive washers. Do you think this one might be?

yep...sounds like a little whirlpool-made machine to me too. Very cool!
