Hey Mark!

So what's the latest with the new machines - last time we heard from you, the big purple monster was stripped down to its pants...so what's the story - any progress to report?

D :-)

Hi

A lot as happened since I last posted and so I havn't been posting.

Just before I was meant to go and get the machines my partner told me he was in love with someone else (a friend which made it worse) and wanted to split up.

We split at the beginning of April and I moved back to my home town a week later.

I then had to stay with friends and now am back living with my parents!!!!!!

Ive had to go through the whole process of starting a new life and that's what im in the middle of doing at the moment.I now have a car and have just been informed I have a job (huge relief). The next step is to get a batchelor pad of my own which I will hopefully be doing in the next few weeks.

Anyway as you can imagine ive been going through some very hard times recently and its a total nightmare. In the middle of it all my gran had to go into a nursing home but before that she was staying at my mums and I was helping with her care.

Its not been easy at all and im emotially and mentally all over the place at the moment and exhausted.

However I wasn't going to let my ex spoil me getting the machines I had waited a year for so a few weeks ago I did go and pick them up.The guy had worked so hard on them and I wasn't going to let him down.

So I do now have the 3 machines and they are currently being stored in my other grans garage. Im afraid I havn't done anything with them or taken any photos etc.

A bit of good news though is that I have also just got a dryer for my new pad off ebay. A Creda sensomatic with the drop down door.

As soon as im settled properly and am feeling more myself I will happily take photos/videos for everyone.

I did mean to come on and tell my story a while back so everyone new what was going on with me but I just didnt feel like it. Your post has made me do it which is a good thing so thank you.

Mark
xx

I have now changed my profile as it still said Scotland and had the machines we joint owned.

At least I still have the ever faithful vintage machines to make me smile and feel better.

Hey Mark...keep the sunny side up!

Mark...

Wow - what a load you've been through - but really good to hear from you - and so sorry to hear all the crappy stuff that has happened, its never easy - but in the words of Joan Rivers (on Parkinson last night!) and Churchill "If you're going through hell, keep going!"

I'm sure you'll get it all sorted soon too - looking forward to seeing the purple wash-god in action...

Talk soon

David :-)

Hi Mark

I'm very sorry you have had such a rough time of it, that's a huge life change, especially as you must have made some friends up in Scotland! However, like all things in life, time is a great healer.

I haven't been on here that much myself with house moves (nothing like that though).

Wishing you all the best.

Take care

Rob

Hi Nick,Mike,David,Rob

Thanks so much for your postings and messages of support. It meant a great deal and I really appreciate them.

I am getting there and hopefully will be back on track soon. The machines will have to stored in my bedroom! But the 1509 I intend to have in the kitchen. Its just trying to find a kitchen which can accomodate it as all kitchens now are set up for front loaders.

Sorry to hear youve not been good :(- hopefully things can only get better!.

If you can find a place with a decent size bathroom you COULD (although obviously officially its illegal ;) go down that route with the 1509- obviously connecting it via an ELCB adaptor and maybe with a set of Hotpoint tap adaptors ;)

That would give you a space to fill in the kitchen :)
