I just had a new arrival; a mid-60s Norge washer and matching dryer. However, the washer lint filter is missing and I was wondering if anyone has an extra one available for sale. The model # on the machine is AWH 1540. (I'll be sure to post more pics once I get them cleaned up & running!) Thanks.

Hi Todd. Greetings from Tucson. Congratulations on your finding a Norge. They sure are fun machines.

Todd, that looks like a 1964/1965 Norge, probably the 14 lb. Those filter tray pans are extremely hard to find. Most got destroyed when the anchoring "tooth" wore down due to the shaking/vibration of the tub during spin (as well as removal to access unloading or loading the washer). So, after the "tooth" no longer held the tray in, it would eventually fly off during a spin and get beaten up, shatters when hitting the spinning agitator. Very common occurrance. Will be intersting to see if anyone has an extra tray in their parts stash. Is this the same set that was posted earlier, or this a totally different and new set nobody has seen before?

ON our 1964 DispensoMat washer, the grey top tub ring was actually the same speckled pattern as the wash basket. Maybe because ours aws the 15 pound washer.

This is a really fun machine, even without the burp-up filter/agitator. But she really smacks those clothes around with normal agitation, almost too rough! And amazingly quiet for a Norge, must be because the sticker on the lid states it's a "VHQ" (very high quality) washer. Still hoping to come across that lint filter but it's not a show-stopper without it.
