Hey Kenmore experts.

The recirc pump on my Frankenmore isn't recirc'ing right. It's down to a trickle instead of the usual waterfall. It drains properly and doesn't leak so it's the recirc side.

The mechanism is a 1981 large capacity Kenmore. Anything I need to check out? Is it the wigwag not throwing it into recirc? Should I not run it like that?

Thanks for any help.

Anyone?

Should I change the pump or let it go like that?

Thanks.

Jason, I would check for a plugged or kinked hose first. Lt us know what you find.

If it's the 4 port pump, the impeller might be loose/broken. Does the pump make any new noises? If it's the 3 port pump with the small recirculating port, it could be clogged. Hope this helps!

Prolly clogged

It's not making any new noises, just no water coming out of the waterfall. I will check the hose/pump when I get the chance this weekend. I won't run it until I get it fixed again.

If you need a 3-port pump I have a couple of extra new ones. Just let me know what you find out.
