Wow - those sure look like a Bendix! Jon - would those machines have the elusive boots?

Seem to recall a member nabbed a MIB (or rather Mint in Crate) version of one of these units awhile back.

Shame you need a pit to run them though, would make great home washing machines.

This may be a case of the parts being worth more than the sum. Maybe a member in or near OHIO could take the units and break them down (was that screaming and or fainting I hear?), for parts.

Just a thought, now off to find those smelling salts! *LOL*

Dexter discontinued manufacturing this design in 1997-1998, just before I got into the coin-op business. Parts are still readily available. There are a number of all Bendix/Dexter stores still in operation.

I don't like how the lister has the plural word "loaders" in the title, plural "coin boxes" and "machines" in the body, but has the sentence "The starting price is for one machine" as the last line in the description. I would think that this auction should have been dutch if two machines were involved, or only show one in the photo and submit two listings.

Point well taken I couldn't agree more, I noticed that descrepency too. It probably means the seller he/she will be very slippery to deal with.

As Peter has informed us all they were made much later than I expected so more will definetly turn up maybe even in NE.

Looks like someone sat the seller down for a quiet talk and the listing was revised. But they upped the initial bid, go figure.
