It is referred to as a Helical drive transmission. Best bet is actually as mentioned above. Find another Helical Drive machine. It does not have to be an A606, any that have the same tub size will have the same transmission. Change out the whole thing. AND, by the way, welcome to the site. Hope this helps. Steve |

That's an orbital tranny for a later dependable care maytag. It has short stroke agitation Vs. the long stroke of your helical. It may fit but I don't think so. Maytag experts chime in here. Liam |
