Well, today was a busy and fun filled day of appliance hunting and scavenging with Rich and Mike. It was a blast and would not have been possible with out Rich's help, thank you so much Rich, you are a true diamond in the rough. Well, as seen below is my loaded trunk...two of the machines will helpo complete two matched sets for me: A 1955 Maytag 102P washer and maching gas dryer and 1968 Kenmore hidden control coppertone set, and last but not least i got a gorgeous RCA/Whirlpool dryer from either the late 50's or early 60's...YAY! More pictures to come once they are unloaded tomorrow sometime. Thanks again Rich...You're the best!!

P.S.

Does anyone have an spare top gas door to the old Maytag dryer? I would love to purchase one, this one has it missing.

Also, does anyone know more about the 68 model line for the hidden control kenmores? Both the dryer and washer are a bit different but they are both 68' model years, did they have several different lines for this type? If possible, could someone post pic? Thanks so much, i appreciate your help.

Thats one of my favorite Maytags! I love the two little dials propped on top. Very colorful.

Great finds, Graham. Looks like you hit the jackpot. That Maytag looks kind of familiar! I think I hauled that out of a basement a couple of years ago........is that one of your matched sets?

Nice find! Do you need the access door, for lighting the pilot? If they're pretty much the same, I have one from a newer Maytag. Let me know.

Wow Graham, the '55 Maytag set looks beautiful together! Congratulations. I didn't realize you had an early Maytag dryer, that must be a Maytag water dryer, I believe there is only one or so other dryers like that out there.
