I saw at youtube an old betty commercial for westinghouse washers and dryers. Betty told me that a westinghouse laundromat had a sliding drum that changed position during draining and spinning see for youself!

Ach! The only thing you could "be sure of" with those old cement-mixers is that whatever you put in them will come out in one long rope most of the time----no thanks to the "Agi-Tumble" read "Agi-Tangle" agle of the wash basket.

Yes Betty, I know "You can be sure if its Rustinghouse"!

However, one has to love that fifties style! And the dryers were very good----especially with 100% Cotton loads-----they got hot, hot, hot! (No doubt in part, to help compensate for the washer's lame extraction capability.)
