I've never seen a machine this early. I wonder if those machines are still around.

We belive this was just a working Bendix prototype of the worlds very first automatic washer for the home.

Yeah, I kinda wondered if it was the prototype. Very interesting to think automatics go back to 1936 or probably earlier before the technology became public.

Jason, the Unimatic was in development about the same time, but had to stop the project because of WW II.
