Another one of the old "diving bells" survives. These things really were built to last.

People have emailed me a picture of this model Bendix before and said they have a Bendix Combo because the like so many other early automatics, the final spin on the wash dial says "Dry".

While this would be a great machine to have by anyone, I would be a bit cautious about the fact that they used the words "Works perfect." That doesn't mean it doesn't leak or any number of other problems that the untrained eye might not realize.

Works and works perfect outdoors on a wood platform are very different than works great indoors on the kitchen floor!

Now I see, I have been putting the clothes through the wrong machine! It says "Dry" on my machines too BUT I have to keep going down and resetting the dial 7,8,9, times to get the clothes dry!! What a pain!
Thanks for the tip the DRYER gets them dry faster! I'll use that next load and save my knees!!

And what a lovely yard.....

I'd almost buy it just to get it out of there. =)
