After using my LG Steam Washer for a few months now, I've finally decided to begin experimenting with different water temperatures on different loads.

I typically only wash my whites on the Sanitary cycle so I can ensure that they will come out bright and white! But after hearing about some here washing whites in much LOWER water temps (120-140*F), I've decided to give it a try and see what happens.

The only problem is, I'm not sure if any cycle other than the Sanitary cycle uses the internal heater. If I'm going to use lower water temps, I at least want the machine to maintain that same water temp throughout the entire wash cycle. I've heard that the Stain Cycle option heats the temperature of the water and maintains it, but I'm not sure what the temperature levels are. The manual is pretty much useless.

Can anyone help me out with some information?

B, I've encountered mixed messages on the garden web laundry forum. But, supposedly, LG will use the supplemental heater for most cycles if the water temp gets more than 10 degrees below water temp set point. I believe hot for your machine is 120 to 125 degrees and warm is 95 degrees.

My old PC crashed and lost the Service Manual that someone had posted a link for last year. It had specific temps mentioned for Extra Hot, Hot, Warm, and Cold.
