Wow - this is a nice looking machine. Guessing that it is a very close match/mate to Dick's beautiful 1958 Four Star Kenmore washer -

Clean, and a much more reasonable price than the famed Westy Dryer ;-)

By the way - where is the lint filter?

Ben

I love it!! He's giving up the Kenmore, because the 60's vintage Maytags won't give up! Sounds like our kind of people!

Cool 24" dryer! The lint-traps were not in the same place as their 29" sister-dryers. It was a box mounted to the back of the dryer, someone probably removed it to make it fit into a smaller space. I used to have one that I found on my 1960 WP dryer, but I must have gotten rid of it as I couldn't find it when I went looking for it a while back.

As long as you periodically check the vent tube to make sure it is clear, you really don't need a lint filter in those dryers. The volume of air is high enough to push the lint right out into the air. I used my Westinghouse dryer for years like that.
