I guess he didn't like my offer. This machine is about 30 minutes from me. I told him other people will factor shipping into their bid. Oh well!

I sure would love to bid on it, but there's no way I could get it all the way down here :(

Yeah, but, there seems to be a lot of sayings on the dial me

and no overflow wash; hence or thus, way less drama and fun.

Who can know for sure if this is so: double rinse versus overflow.?

Either way, 30 bucks is giving it away. How does e-bay work. Is there a max or do you just keep bidding away like Mister Haney would from Petticoat Junction.

Home from vacation in Chi-town. Nice to see everyone again.

Jimmy,

Do you think the seller is going to try for a third time??!? If his reserve was $400.00 on the washer, I can't imagine what he'll put on the dryer!

Do we know the condition?

First of all I hate bidding on stuff at e-bay. If I really want it pretty bad, I almost feel sick. The shipping out to California would be about $700, which also gives me pause. So if I mentally commit, say, $1000, and don't get it, I really feel sick. That said, I would like a Frigidaire Unimatic, so if anyone out here would like to sell me one, please let me know.

And, I am concerned about the condition. I would rather buy a re-built one from Robert or Greg, or another member, where I would be assured of the operation. This one looks good, but what is the story behind it? Is all of the rubber ready to go and then it needs to be re-built anyway?

Martin

Well Rich, time will tell what he is going to do next. I get the feeling that he had someone bidding it up for him as Im always wary of a new ebay account on this kind of auction. Let him keep paying those ebay listing fees! He will get tired of it after a while. Jim from Brunswick just got a wonderful set at less than half this guys price. So the washers are still out there, people just need to do a little brain work and fingers thru the yellow pages like we do Rich, to find this stuff! So either pay this guys ebay price (which is the price one pays clicking on an auction and having things fall into your lap) or do some searching to find one. They sure are out there if one is dedicated and looks............

Check this out....if it doesn't sell for $350.00 on eBay the first time, relist it with a $400.00 reserve, and also list it on CraigsList for $450.00!

It *CAN'T* be the water in Pittsburgh, can it?
