Hi, I have a '98 Frigidaire Gallery front loader. Have had it for a couple years, but only just recently tested it out. I think the final spin speed could be faster. In reviewing an archived thread here about it, I saw mention of a simple internal wiring change that can shift the machine to a higher top spin speed.

Typing this post in hopes someone here can describe thr procedure or provide a link to such a description.

Thanks!

Here's a link to the original archived discussion of this washer, where the wiring change to increase top speed was mentioned.

Looks like Rinso was the one who mentioned the wiring trick. I'll shoot him an email...

Oh gosh, that was a long time ago.....One does have to verify that the machine is only spinning at 650 RPMs.

If I remember correctly, there was a red wire on the controller that you moved from D to C or vise-versa. It would raise the final 50 second spin to 850 RPMs. Let me dig a bit and see if I can find it. It was a couple of machines ago.

You can in all probability get a wiring diagram from the Electrolux FTP site which would remove some of the risk. What's the actual model number of the machine?

Thanks, Nurdl.

From looking at the wiring diagram, it would seem that the unit already spins at 850 rpm.
