How could you miss it?

Hi Greg. The angled cuts on the slope of the fin and the lateral cut at the neck are are far too measured, perfect, and precise to be damage, even allowing for the smoothing and planing that would occur after years of laundry rubbing by. But you had me in and out of thought for quite a while, and I remembered a large nail making a jagged rip in the fin on our 58 Tower F. Of course, Geraldine just had a new one installed immediately. So I thought: the first owner suffered a similar rip in his fin, but instead of ordering a new energy ring, he surgically removed the damaged area.

Before Greg's post--and it's funny how Frigi lovers think alike--my theory was that GM was experimenting with randomly installed 4/5's fins to see if they would cut down on tangling. Another theory was that a quasi-Philco fin would reduce oversudsing that was also common till users switched from Tide to All and Dash. Quasi-Philco, Quasimodo, the deformed and damaged Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Checkrate/Likes *Start of the 4 minute flotation rinse* Still can't get enough of Frigidaire rinsing, after three months of almost exclusive use of this machine. Still play with its brother and sisters, but mainly wash in this one, Brother Frigi. This load is huge. Guess what giant item was added to really see what a Frigidaire can do?

Checkrate/Likes *Robert, you snuck in on me* Listen, the edges are perfectly tapered and molded; there are no bumps, lumps or tears of any kind. When I get a digital, I'll do extreme close-ups. Moreover, the rollover is perfectly continuous, and if you feel down there the suction is suberb. Just ask Greg M. As far as either of of knows, the Energy Ring came that way. So I'm asking you all WHY WHY WHY. I have my theories. But I'm not kidding anyone; that fin is perfect, and I'm too Catholic to pull a Frigidaire prank. Moreover, rollover--couldn't resist.

Checkrate/Likes *Damaged Goods!* The first WO-65 pulsator I had was damaged in just the same way. Using it that way for a long time will smooth out the rubber to look like it was formed that way. Robert and I joked about it, "what if THAT missing chunk was the solution to the entire tangling problem that plagued Frigidaire washers for a decade?" Alas, it made no difference in the tangling ability of the machine. The pulsator I just replaced in my WCI-58 was cracked around the middle in one spot and split halfway up the side in three others. Oddly, there was little or loss of performance between the split one and the new one I put in.

Checkrate/Likes Hello mick ive been looking at your collection far a while it's fantastic. I grow up ith that lovely Kenmo, Missies maddox house they were a big family of fifteen people! i use to play down ther alot when i much younger and theiry was the one i'd played with and all the other girls on the block go figure. Anyway granny here grandmother was really strict and could not play in certain parts of the house, and u know what part of the house u could not play in the large wash room where u have to pass to get to other side where we played. When she was not around I WOULD LOOK AT THOOSE BIG KENMO LIGHTS AND JUST WATCHED IT ALL THE TIME !

One of the little aliens that makes the agitator go up and down had an emergency and used his escape pod to fly back to the planet Pulsmatia. Lucky for you there are five aliens left to work the machine. b. An aborted attempt to increase rollover by trying to recreate the action of a Philco agitator. c. The Maytag BOL "Automatic" button strikes again! Never, NEVER, push that button!

Checkrate/Likes *I just got home from a huge wedding. It's one o'cloc* My nephew Jimmy got married--he' s the dude who loves classics and is the proud owner of a 1-18. What a treat to come home to this when I'm pretty blitzed and can barely spell, Thank you, Ken. That movie is quite a study in authoritarian fascistic horse-shit, n'est-ce pas--almost a parody, but very arresting nonetheless.
