It looks like there is a big black capacitor on top of the control. It would be a good idea to change the cap before attempting to use this used part. Ken D. |

You can still get that part from Maytag for around fifty dollars. NEW |

That's what I thought. We're talking about a part that was used for a long period of time in a LOT of dryers. I wouldn't think it would be NLA |

When I was looking for a part for my 1966-67 DE 906 dryer a year ago, the control unit for my model with wire-banded baffles was NLA & out of stock but I was able to track one down in my travels. I believe they told me this 3-3049 part for bar-baffle sensor dryers was NLA from Maytag, but there were lots of them still around in parts dealer stock.
