After patiently waiting, we were finally able to pick up the Philco washer yesterday evening. She has considerable rust on the lower cabinet ... 35 years ago they put her on a porch and covered her with blankets & plastic (which protected the top), but the rust really got to the exterior lower cabinet. My father started working on her and she fired up with only minimal problems that will need some attention. I will post pics later today (Sunday). I can't find a model # anywhere on her. Really cool wash action! The machine had only been used for less than 2 years, then she moved to a country house with no hookups. Pics later! I have a new toy!!! Todd

Todd has his own version of the Roaring 20s complete with a flapper!! This endeavor has been brewing for almost 4 years. Glad it finally came to fruition and stopped raining.

Wonderful find Todd, Im sure you will get it running perfectly. The model number data plate on those models is in the bottom front, sometimes hidden my the removable front panel.

Sorry Folks

Well, I had good intentions, but got pulled into work ... can you believe that? I tried to convince them that my new washer was a priority, but they didn't quite understand. I will go to my dad's tomorrow and shoot the pics so that Gary can post them for me tomorrow night (Tuesday). She won't take in water, but once we put the hot water in and let it sit for a while, we turned her on and she purred like a kitten. Hoses and belts need replacement, but that's a given. Its a very basic machine with a timer knob and a water level infinite dial. My mom started cleaning it up (with a toothbrush) ... and they say I'm neurotic! I have never used one of these, so I plan on investigating this new machine in detail. Details & pics soon! You guys are great!! Todd

with a toothbrush

GOOD! Imagine that I used it either to celan up lot of parto of my restored Ignis...

"and they say I'm neurotic!" :-DDD LOL Don't matter of that...here I suppose all of us have to fight everyday with sentences like that...it's in our habits I suppose :-) BE HAPPY THUS! I've been hearing such offensive things since I was young and imagine the friends when they knew about my first restoration wich rise up the number of washing machine I own from already 2 to 3!!!

Go on proudly with your work we're near you!
