Hi! I post a picture here, can anybody tell me if this is a General Electric model? It's from 1963-64 I think, for sure not later. What is the inscription on the front? Is it the brand or the model's name?

I think it says "Power Shower". It is a GE Mobile Maid dishwasher.

There is a thread in the archives with pictures of an AEG toploader in Belgium.

There is something not quite right about the picture. The orange object at the right could not be there and allow the lid to close, nor could the plates behind it. Nothing rose as the lid opened except the front section of the top rack in the GE portables like this which is the post 1962 design with the wash arm system.

I noticed that too. The lower level rack of dishes seems to have risen to countertop heigth. Which would certainly have been a nice feature for a toploader. But if there were no such feature....?

Is that a young brunette Shirley MacLaine ?

Not from the 60's but from the 30's, a Miele dishwasher.
