Does anyone know what year this....JUST KIDDING. I took the time to read the headline this time. The '58's are my favorite Frigidaire design. I love the console.

Back in the 1960's, my dad worked for a company in Minneapolis which sold/maintained hearses and ambulances. They had a set of '58's in the maintenance/washing garage to launder towels + rags. I used to spend a lot of time there as a kid, where I was the self-appointed VP in Charge Of The Washer. I just loved watching that Frigidaire...

POD

This POD shows the evolution of the Dryer as a help to no ironing. In early ads for washer with the 1140 spin like this washer clothes were ready to iron right from the wash. Just struck me how this was pushing the dryer side of Frigidaire and no ironing.

Note that Charcoal Gray was still an optional color. Imagine how stunning a 58 Imperial set in Charcoal Gray would look! For how many years did GM offer this color?
