I don't know what year(s) exactly, but definitely somewhere between the mid to late 70's.

These are either 1974 or 5 models. These were the predecessors to the black panelled Kenmores, which started in 1976.

Have a good one,
James

Whoa!! My Kenmore dryer may be much older than I thought! My model # is 110.87181100. Can anybody decipher the date?

Mid 1970's Kenmore Set....

"laundryboy":

After looking at this photo in your link, I am along with everyone else here. This is in fact, a mid 1970's set. If I had to put an exact year on this set, I am going to say something like 1974 or 1975.

That's about the exact vintage of that set.

Nice looking setm though!!!!

I got an exact picture of those machines along with the 24" version of the same washer in my 1975 S/S Sears Catalog.

Your dryer is probably a 1981 model.

For most vintage Kenmores, the model year was decoded by the first two digits after the 110. If I am correct, by the 1980s the first and third digits after the 110 decoded the model year.

If I infer correctly your dryer is one of the black paneled center dial models. They were manufactured from 1976 to 1985, possibly 86. 1986 was when the direct drives took over the inventory at Sears, and the dial was moved back to the right end of the panel. So your dryer would more likely be a 1981 model.

Have a good one,
James

Thanks James!! I guess the dryer is about the age I anticipated. My memory wasn't very good in 1981 being a 2 year old and all :>)
