This looks like a 70's model... does anybody know the probable year of manufacture?

Rich, around 1972 to 1974 at teh very latest. This was their TOL set or right under it!! And dryer is gas!!! Those norge druyers were great. 8.0 cu. ft. These don't grow on trees that's for sure.

I'm planning to add these beauties to my collection! We had a BOL washer in white like this when I was a kid.

This was TOL for 1973 - and they gave themselves an award for it!

Bob, if the dryers did grow on trees, would they be flocked trees?

The page from the catalog doesn't mention a suds-saver version, that's a surprise to me, seeing that they were still very much available from other brands at that time.

gansky, maybe if you fill one of your Maytags all the way to the tub ring you may win an award too!

Clunk!

Yeah, I can't wait for all those clunks and clangs, including the wonderful sound of that burp-up filter agitator! I sealed the deal today and will be picking up my new twins on Saturday to keep my '64 Lady Kenmore and '65 Norge twins company!

My family had the exact same washer as in the Craigslist ad, right down to the color!!! The washer replaced a early 1960's Norge; it was purchased in 1974 and lasted until 1987, replaced with a filter-flo which lasted until 2001. Mom now has a DD whirlpool.

Yeah Bob, the sound of a washer doing its thing can be very comforting. This particular machine should be quite accommodating in that regard.
