Hai just curious, but how are the big Miele's. We don't hear much about them so they must be working perfectly after a few months. Maybe a vid of something. Or just a perfect discription how glad you are with them ;)

The Mega Miele

I have the 4800 washer and 9800 dryer and so far I am pretty happy with them. The washer does hold alot and my only gripe is that i wish that they had the dryer drum be a tad bigger to match the capacity of the washer. But to me thats really not an issue since sometimes I will reduce a load and divide it into 2 for the dryer. The dryer is very fast...its the fastest dryer I have ever used. The performance of the sensor system is 2nd to none..if you start the dryer with nothing in it on a sensor cycle it will shut off in 30 seconds. My electric bill has dropped by 30 bucks and my gas bill has dropped by 25 bucks. The current billing cycle reflects a month of using them.
The washer doesnt pussyfoot around getting the load to spin. It gets down to business. The washer has only 2 rinses and an optional 3rd rinse is available. By the time the washer reaches the 2nd rinse the water is clear. I have been using the SA8 detergent with the trizyme and all fabric bleach regimine and also the Persil detergent...the German version. I will have to say the results have been impressive with both detergents. Tide HE works well in the washer. I just bought the new MieleCare UltraWhite detergent and the MieleCare softener that I will be trying tomorrow.
Would I buy these machines again? Hell yeah! I am looking forward to see what Consumer Reports has to say about them when they rate laundry appliances again.
