Hey, you are the guy who did the vids of the Catalyst Washer. Did that break down?

Whirlpool Catalyst Washer

Hi. Yes I´m the same guy and no my Whirlpool is still runing flawlessly but I prefer to wash my whites on the Samsung since it´s gentler on clothes and removes dirt better.

O.K. I saw them. Great videos but several remarks.

The Vibration Reduction Technology(VRT) really works! Even at Extra-High speed spin!
Why didn't you post any videos of the wash cycle? I wanted to see it foam up with suds since it was on Sanitary. I also wanted to see it do Silver Ions in the wash.
The innards of your dryer are the same as mine. Mine is a Kitchen Aid Prestige KEYS677EQO Electric Model. It even sounds the same as mine.
Since when did you use dryer softener sheets? In the vids of the Catalyst Washer you used liquid fabric softener.

Sanitary Cycle!!!

Hi funguy. On the one hand, I´m a little bit frustrated because my washer arrived about 6 months before Samsung introduced the VRT and I can guess it really works and maybe takes shorter times to balance the load when spinning. On the other hand what makes me like my washer more is the tub, the VRT has a kind of triangle at the back of the tub. This one is plain and like it better. Also the paddles in mine are different since the first half is lower and the rest is higher and this has helped when I use it for 2 or 3 clothes.

I´m sorry for not posting videos from the wash. I was not at home for the wash. Let me tell you. When you choose the Sanitary cycle or any other cycle with hot water setting it doesn´t use Silver ions at the wash. When you choose another cycle with cold or warm water, the cycle starts by filling with a little water, then stops, tumbles for a while and then the main fill starts. Not mattering what cycle you´ve chosen after the main fill of the final rinse there is a little fill for about 30 seconds or so which is the Silver ions dispensing. Watch the video again of the final rinse. First you see how it throws the fabric softener dispenser. It does in 2 steps in order to prevent stains. It throws water for about 20 seconds, stops and then throws water again and continue to fill. After completing its fill you can see a little water coming which is the Silver ions.

I would like to see some pictures of your dryer including the control panel. Mine has been the best. Huge capacity. Great performance. I started using the Bounce (only brand I buy) sheets about 10 years ago. They are the best by helping the dryer to get rid of the dogs and cats hair and giving a good smell and preventing wrinkles.

Yes, I always use liquid Fabric softener for both washers. The brand is Suavitel. I choose the yellow one because of the smell and because it stains clothes less. Whether it is diluted before going to clothes, (my two washers have diluting dispensers), the blue one sometimes stains clothes. This one is called Free rinse which reduce the water consumption by not needing the second rinse. In the Samsung I can´t reduce the number of rinses. It has 2 preset rinses and you can only add an extra one. I hope all this long information works to solve your doubts. If you have any other please do not hesitate in asking. I would be very glad to answer. Thanks for looking at my thread and videos. Take care!!!
