see separate thread above

sorry, 1st I somehow gave an incomplete reply, then I posted my reply seperately above on a new link. Perhaps the powerful wash action swept my brains away.

KD11 built in

HI I have a KD11 built in & would love to see a pic of your portable. This dishwasher is a second machine in my kitchen. It is a work horse. They are limited as to how much you can load but there are times I remove the top rack & wash very large pot & pans. The large holes in the cast wash arm allow for a wash that is so powerful things will be flipped over if not secured in the bottom rack. The only draw back I find is because of the cast pump & wash arm you do not get the hottest wash water but things still do come clean & these dishwashers dry very well. I love the heated forsed air for drying. My KD11 is a gravity drain model. The stainless steel front on this KA is so much thicker than the new KA I have. Hobart sure made great dishwasher. A few of the club members have these machines. If I was looking to replace mine I would hope to find a model with at least 1 pre rince to help heat the machine & dishes up before the wash which would help improve the wash even more. Looking forward to seeing a pic of your portable. Michael
