Oh yeah, it's dirty enough (no prerinsing) and it's full to the gills!! That's a BobLoad! A BobLoad is utilizing and testing a washer or dishawsher with its Maximum capacity without overstuffed and with dishwashers a filthy dirty encrusted load of dishware.

Dum De Dum Dum..I see a problem with your load!

Did all your dishes come out clean? Did you see that pot handle on the lower rack that looked like it was blocking the upper spray arm?

Sure, Copy Kitchenaid engineering but don't include the China Guard. It is nearly impossible to block the upper arm from below with a China guard! Not to mention that the tubing ran inside the rack and the washarm hub was more recessed and the arm was bent to conform more to the rack design.(blocking it from aboe was another story, I must admit!

That is the single feature I have always hated on any of these whirly machines especially the older ones with the tube up the middle of the lower rack. Way too easy to block that arm from turning.
My Sister in Law had a TOL Kenmore with the older style setup with the tube in the rack and she always complained that the machine didn't clean well.
I tried to explain many times that the Power wash module was a great setup but she had to be careful with the loading.. All her loads were "BOB" loads. and she never checked for clearance.
Now she has a Siemens and says it cleans so much better..Well sure it does.. It can't hold nearly as much as that Kenmore did.
But at least the arm is less intrusive under the rack.
Did I mention that she prerinses everything like she was washing the dishes first!
Anyway, I can't wait to see the pictures!

Yep, Steve you're right. (I don't look that closely because I make the assumption we're all obsessive enough to test wash arm movement before starting) It's tip is level if not above the parallel level of the wash arm. Hopefully he tested to see wash arm was revolving before turning on machine. Hmmm!!

Eddie-- We had the very same pressure cooker when I was a kid. Mom never used it as a pressure cooker, just as a big saucepan. I hadn't thought of that pan in years, 'til I saw the lid in the picture at the top of this thread.

Great BobLoad®, too!

The upstairs residential kitchen has a Miele. It does a fantastic job cleaning and is super quiet.

Frigilux... That is one of the first Pretos ever manufactured according to Presto. It was my Grandmother's. I had not used it in 20 some odd years and when I went on line to them, they asked to send them pictures as there was no model number on the first "Batch" they ever produced. The BiMetal Pressure Regulater still works.I sprayed it with WD40 for about 2 weeks before I did a water test.

Parts Still Available

The Sealing Rings are available in any hardware store. To replace the regulator, you would have to upgrade to a newer type.

Wow that pressure cooker looks like its from the 1920's. I just wonder how old it really is. We sure have come a long way from that to an electronic one that you can plug in.

Presto

My mother had that Presto Pressure Cooker in the late 40's, early 50's. It lasted until she broke up house keeping in the early 80's.

Lord, I wish I knew where that cooker ended up.

Eddie--Thanks for the extra pics of the pressure cooker. Seeing that pan is definitely a blast from the past for me. I've never seen the pressure regulator before; as I said earlier, my Mom never used the pan in pressure mode. Maybe she'd lost the regulator. Don't ever remember seeing it in a kitchen drawer or anything.

Pressure cooker

I have the same cooker that was my grandmothers. The pressure gauge broke in the late 50's and she had to replace it with the popup type. Nothing is as well built as those. The cast metal can't be beat. I also have the old national pressure canner that ws hers we use it every summer to can from our garden.
