"1 jenair stove"

OMG- that's the one I'd love to own. That's the "Anywhere Jenn-Air", with an electrostatic filter base. It was intended for installations where outside venting wasn't practical; fumes and grease got sucked down to the electrostatic filter, which kept them trapped. You had to be very compulsive about good filter hygiene if you didn't want the filter stinking up your house (it went in the dishwasher), but that limitation aside, it worked pretty well. If memory serves, they were about $1800 new in that version.

Yep, It's the "Anywhere"

By tinkering with the photo, it was possible to bring up enough detail to see the grille for the filter base.

I cannot believe this is ending up in a bargain lot of appliances. If only such wonders turned up here in Atlanta.

Thanks! But it would cost a fortune to ship that here. The last time I looked into shipping a range, the quotes came back at $500 and up.

Not to worry, someone closer to it will appreciate it. And you never know- one could turn up down here when I least expect it.

In fact, the moment I paid to have that one shipped down here, one would be virtually guaranteed to show up locally, just to teach me a lesson about the cost of impatience! ;-)
