That is a nice set, both good performers. How do they like the front-loader? The differences in the 27" (front filter) and 29" (top filter) Whirlpool dryers is really mostly personal preference and size/space considerations. The slight difference in capacity ratings is negligible and some argue that the wider drum and slightly larger opening on the 29" models are easier to load and unload and the larger diameter is better for fewer wrinkles. I have the Duet dryer in gas which is built on the 27" dryer format and a Kitchen Aid 29" electric dryer in the garage. I find that drying large, bulky items is easier in the 29" dryer as things have more room to billow and tumble and are less likely to roll into a tight ball. |
