1983 matching Whirlpool W/D.

These are located at my Mom's home in Lloyd Neck,Long Island.
They are both in good working order, can use some minor cosmetic repair.

Actually Shane your pictures are 1000 pixels wide, this is the perfect size for aw.org. I designed the Discuss-o-Mat around having pictures this exact size, most peoples monitors are this wide or wider these days with higher resolutions.

surgilator

which type of surgilator does this washer have? My mom's had the surgilator with the bottom part that was almost as big as the tub--what is that called in aw land?

Super Surgilator.
I personally like there next agitator they came out with, "Super Surgilator Double Duty" (wings on the base of the skirt)

I believe it was called the "Quarter Moon" surgilator. That's what the machines from the 80's had. I never quite understood the purpose of that either.

Purpose of the wings is to generate more turbulence at the bottom of the basket for washing those 18-lb loads.
