Hey guys. I came out from camp for 8 days.
Yesterday I made a load with t-shirts at my Electrolux timeline EWF 1225. I loaded only the half drum.
I selected the sythetics Economy program with 900rpm spin speed.
All was running fine until the washer went to final spin.
It tried to spin but it stoped because it was unbalanced.
After that the washer tried to spin but load it was unbalanced again ; the washer didn't stop this time and continued the spin cycle unbalanced at 900rmp!!!
The result was horrible! The washer was dancing arround the room and now the drum makes a "metal" noize when I turn it with my hand!!
What could cause this??
Any idea what this "metal" sound is?

Sounds like the bearings are gone or there is some other serious mechanical failure.

this sounds exactly what happened to me about 9 years ago when i had an old hotpoint FL. Only difference was that I couldn't turn the drum at all as it had totally seized up

ok...

the washer is dead! I turn the program selector and it doesn't doing anything!!!
I tried to do a test load without clothes.
It started filling normaly but next ...nothing. No drum movement! I opened the back cover and I saw that the motor wasn't turning. also I noticed that all the cover was damaged!!
I cant Understand what caused this unbalance and why the unbalance protector didn't stop the washer while it was spinning!!!

Sounds very simular to what happened to my Zanussi - Electrolux, we ended up getting rid of it because it used to go MAD! The time came when it started crashing about and causing a flood which ruined all the electrics in the machine! I think maybe the unbalanced protector sensor went faulty on mine!
Vid below is what used to happen very often before we got rid of it! Anything like yours?

ohh

... yeap... my washer was dancing like yours and much more!!

Tomorrow I'll call to electrolux service center but I dont think that the repair is a good idea because the machine is 2-3 years old!

Its time for something different... Hair & Amana are available now at Greece so Haier Toploader its a good idea.

damn

may have snapped an arm on the cast alloy spider that holds the drum
