Two completely unrelated questions for ya :-)

1.) Does anyone have a copy of the manual that came with a Frigidaire 1-18? As usual, the web seems to have divorced itself of information that predates 1990-ish. Being a newbie user, I'd love to see what I'm supposed to be doing :-)

2.) What's generally safe for cleaning porcelain washer baskets? My 1-18 has yellowish discoloration on the top third, and I'd like to get it scrubbed off if I can (not a huge concern), but not by mussing the porcelain up.

I appreciate greatly any advice you can offer :-)

Roto, do you remember a product called 'Soft Scrub'? It was a good product. I remember the first time I used it was a free sample of it that came with my Visions cookware set. it was recomened to clean that type of glassware because it wouldn't scratch the glass. I want to say it contained chlorine bleach. Maybe it is still available.

That's a good idea. Hopefully it'll interact with the yellowish haze and remove it.

Thanks!
