For blue towels perhaps?

I'd like to see a twenty pound load in that washer! When the belt burns on fire, you've overloaded.

The Rest of the Story

This guy is a dealer of some sorts in metro Atlanta. He's had this ad running on Craigslist for at least 6 months, with no takers. He also has a nice-looking late 80's Hotpoint washer (first cousin to the Filter-Flo) that he advertises for $130; however, sometimes he pairs the Hotpoint washer with a Filter-Flo washer and offers the "matching pair" for $230. All in all, amusing to watch.

I must be experiencing deja-vu, because I could swear I've seen this exact ad before.

That Maytag A606 is just like the one a neighbor of mine had from 1972. He used to make Viking helmets as a hobby, and would let me wash the drop cloths. That machine was the quietest Maytag I ever heard, and it had that chunking timer that advanced with a loud snap, as opposed to the more quiet tick I was usually accustomed to.

Have a good one,
James

Pulltostart:

I had not read your post before I posted my message. Now that I see that ad has been up for awhile, I know I am not dreaming. It was mentioned in another thread, however I don't know how far back it is.

Have a good one,
James

Who died granny or the machine?
Poor dear, I hope she did not expire due to "exposure".

I'm not sure I'd want to hang with my granny @ the nudist colony! It's bad enough I had to help my yiayia/granny go potty near the end of her life. They get to change your diapers then you get to change theirs.

Hard to imagine a nudist granny. Here is what MY granny looked like.

Windshield says => GREEK POLICE.
Officer means to say "Pull-over that donkey".
BOX ON DASHBOARD=> "NTONATS" otherwise known as DONUTS, actually. (NT= D sound)
She says "Mr. Policeman sir, why are you speaking to me in English?
The closing screenshot ad BTW says in print:
NOVA "Everything is in your hand" an idiomatic expression meaning everything is at your finger-tips (i.e. convenient).

What did she wash in it?

Lots of slipcovers and sheets.

Glad the money shots were of the Maytag and not grandma!
I wonder what nudists dress up as for Halloween?

I wonder what nudist senior citizens in Florida dress up as for Halloween? I guess if they all got on a bus together, they could go as a box of prunes, what with the sun there.

Sadly, we mock the thing we are to be.

at the naked granny brought to us by marvelous Peter who's naked like granny, and worrying at her one load a month. Surely her sheets must have gotten quite soiled what with her body rubbing the day's grime all about.
