I'm still not converted to FL or Fshr/Pykl TL yet.Like the shorter cycle times/control of the "conventional" TL.But ALL the new Kenmore/Whirlpool/Maytag control the wash/spin speeds through the timer now.NO manual turning the "speeds" knob to a higher wash speed for a few seconds to "turn over" a stubborn load.Gotta' turn the timer to a different cycle to change speeds.EXCEPT on ONE new Whirlpool I saw at Sears. The ONLY one I saw with a "speeds" control.List is $589,no porcelin lid/top is the only neg.Otherwise, same features (3 spd wsh, etc)as the KM w/NO spd cntrl for $689w/prcln/top/lid. My '96 Km "90" is working perfectly & I know it's better built than the new ones, but when that Whrpl goes on "sale",I think I'm gonna' snag one for a "spare".
