Hai guys, sorry but I have a silly question. Our daily driver, my olympia 1001 build in 1999 (so is 9 years old), stopped working. Serviceguy passed by today and told us the carbon brushes were gone and replaced them. Within 30 minutes she was up and running again. My question is; is it normal for carbon brushes to go away within 9 years of normal use?

I have sad news: OLYMPIA is gone. The last real Belgian Washer Building Company has stopped his production. There is no particulary reason why. It's a sad day for our family who sold and bought years and years OLYMPIA's.
