Check this out!! Notice the different console layout, narrow top edges, and smaller lid...not a DD look-alike, but the REAL DEAL!!

Not very many of these around anymore, and IMHO the Kenmore version is much harder to find.

how can you tell it's BD?

There's no inside shot or they don't list that it's a BD machine. Just wondering if it's really a BD machine.

Definately a belt drive. . .

The electronic controls with the slide-type mechanical water level control were all belt drives. The console is also the same basic shape as all the belt drives of the time were. Only there was no woodgrain- all black and chrome. Can't be many left anymore.

Good enough

Soon I'll have a house in the land of snow and that would definitely be a wayward Kenmore that I would give shelter. It would be loved and used just like it should.

Here's a shot of the interior...note the style of the tub & wide-base DA agitator used on BD machines.

It REALLY needs a good cleaning but it's definitely worth $20!!

Convinced!

Definitely a BD. I love how the black contrasts with the white interior.

Note the model number plate up on the top just like the DD's.
