The people in this club are just so wonderful. I never thought I would see these machines again, but we all share the same passion. A little update... jim's Mobile Maid has just had a Compound , Wax and Detail as well as the KD2-P. Shining like the top of the Chrysler Building. '56 Mobile Maid is waiting for a new seal on the pump/impeller. KDS-18...Sweet, and Kenwhirl is getting adjusted. We'll have a Family Potrait as soon as everyone is ready. Thanks for all your help, advice, and being great. Eddie |

Congrats on getting both machines, especially that Whirlpool. I'm glad it went to a good home. Good Luck, James |

Congratulations Eddie!! Love them both! I have to admit, I like the 61 Whirlpool the best too. The machine you now own was my first real worthwhile classic washer. That baby is another one that has some "road miles" on it. The machine came from South Carolina, to Indiana, then moved to Mass. in 2004. Hope you have as much fun with it as we did. |

It can effectively clean a full/queen comforter however, there won't be much rollerover action. For clothing mine handles a large hamper full with room to spare. It rips through it's cycles quickly and effectively. It's probably one of the best rinsing/filtering machines around (In my opinion) They aren't noted for being quiet but there are some steps that can be taken to make them more quiet. If anyone cares to know how just email me. |

Lancaster, South Carolina. Although the ebay seller called it "Red Rose" S.Carolina. The machine had sat in a shed for a number of years. It had belonged to the sellers grandmother. I had to replace all the water seals and hoses, as they had dry rotted. Good luck to finding a vintage WP. Check the sheds out there. <: |
