Saw one of these behind Blowes a few years back - looked exactly like a WC-6. You are right about the lid Pete - the finger grip is closer to the front of the machine than a regular 1-18. I always thought the agitator on these early WCI machines were kinda cool with the big 'F' on top of the agitator. Ben |

The machine in the ad seems to be a Horizon 2000 model, if I recall. Still had the angled control-panel, but had the all-plastic innards we grew to know and love from WCI. They had many different agitators; most notably the four short-vane agi that didn't do diddly. My main complaint with these (my Kelvinator was similar) was that they stored too much water in the recirculation system for the lint filter due to the prominent coin trap under the tub, and when they started the rinse, the first three seconds of water flow from the lint filter were creamy white. Ick. |

The name plate on the front is minus GM. I remember these as a kid, right after they sold out. Another big industry upset in my book was the sellout of Maytag. Sad Sad Sad. |
