The ad still works for me.

It's a matching center dial set which possibly may be almond in color, but the pic could be deceiving.

I saw the ad too but they must have been snapped up quickly since some posters weren't able to access it.

Wow - that is a deal. No wonder they were snapped up so quickly - an A806/DG808 set.

Is it just me or is the "negative" flipped on the photo? I always thought the pilot and burner access on the dryer was on the left as you are facing it.

Ralph-

The burner hatch is exactly where it should be. :)

All the dryers I have ever owned, they have all been gas Maytags........

All the dryers I have ever loved, they have all been gas Maytags......

My current gas Maytag does not have a hatch as such, but has an observation port (covered by a pry-out plug,) and it is in the lower right.

I sure hope one of "us" got them. I would hate to see them not meticulously cared for. They are gems.

Thanks Lawrence, my brain has fried on this little item. I agree with you though, the best and quietest dryer I have ever owned was the gas center dial Maytag with "automatic electronic" control. No timer, just load the clothes, select the cycle and push the control knob. The dryer did the rest, and very efficiently. I hated to see it go after the drum froze.
