I did get another painting job.
Turns out, the lady that was scared of the washer, well her daughter and son inlaw are both funeral directors one town over.
I was there all day today painting.
Benjamin Moore, Louisianna Hot Sauce.

As for the Speed Queen set, they too went to the funeral home.
They are now in the "prep" room.
They replaced a 1971 Maytag dryer and a fairly new but unreliable GE washer.
I guess they need an overflow rinse more than I do.
Circle of life?

Did you meet the daughter and son-in-law and explain to them about the overflow wash/rinse?

I don't think the daughter cares what it does, so long as it works.
Oddly enuff they got rid of their last washer cause it leaked.
I learned this over friendly chit chat.
She said the dryer was very slow at drying, an hour and a half for towels.
I could have it if I wanted it, I declined

Sears took it away.

No honey, Sears "THREW" it away.

speaking of which (when the box stores pick up appliances), ever pay attention to how those "macho" delivery guys handle the machines. I just wanna jack slap, and drop kick um.

No kidding Steve. When my '97 Amana pair was delivered by Sears they practically threw the dryer off the truck and it was a rattletrap from day one. And of course the delivery truck didn't have any Sears ID on it. I had service men out and one simply advised that the dryer is "just tin" and can make noise based on the metals heating and cooling. Gee, the HOH Maytag it replaced quietly purred for well over two decades until it died. Never have I regretted a purchase more than those Amanas. If I had it to do over again I would have stuck with my ill-fated search for a larger center dial pair. I suspect if things had gone better with that, I wouldn't own my big Duet pair right now.
