Kind of expensive for BOL washer, but it appears to be in nice condition.

I believe those are the same button designations that are on our A407, so that may be your model number.

I don't think this is an A407. Neighbors of mine had one. The button set up on theirs was similar to the washer in the ad, but it had 3 buttons for speed control, whereas this one looks like it may have the plate marked Automatic in place of buttons. According to the ad, there is a separate cycle for Delicate on the dial.

This washer is probably a Fabric Matic model which came out later on. I have no idea as to the actual model number.

Have a good one,
James

"Automatic" in the speed control with a separate Delicate cycle would suggest a one speed Fabric Matic model that alternates agitation and soaking periods for delicates. My mother's style of walking with her walker is what I termed Fabric Matic. There are a few steps followed by a pause repeating until the destination is reached.

Maytag for sale

That is Maytag Model A 408. I had one for 20 years then sold it to purchase a MAH 3000 Neptune. Nver gave us any trouble only the pump was frosen frrm not having heat on in the laundry room when it got down to -15 F one night.

Wasn't it an advertised advantage of the PolyPump that freezing did not harm it? People in our old neighborhood who did not have a basement and had their washer in a utility room with the water heater learned to put a floodlight behind the machine on very cold nights. Because of the water heater, the room could not even be airtight.
