Hi Guys,
The tub drains since I changed the pump. The spin cycle seems slow and the clothes are soggy when complete.
I've changed the belts and the motor seems to travel relatively smoothly on the tracks. The agitator works and when I turn the tub from underneath but it seems a bit stiff. Perhaps this is normal as the tub is heavy.
I understand about the belt acting as a sort of clutch. Could the brake be engaged? How freely should the tub turn by hand? I removed the agitator and there is nothing stuck that would cause drag.
Help!
-Nick

The motor should have tension and not move freely but with force when the belts are attached. Perhaps the springs are sprung on the track?
